I love exploring and listening to music with my very musical teenage daughter. I have been married for over 34 years and love being part of the hearing world and enjoying life!
- Implanted AgeOlder AdultHearing LossSlowly ProgressiveImplantedRightI have a congenital progressive hearing loss. The possibility of my getting more benefit from a cochlear implant than a hearing aid was first raised with me in 2010. In 2019, having finally reached the point where I had to admit to myself that, in one ear, a hearing aid was no longer helping me, I started to seriously investigate getting a cochlear implant. It took me a long time to make the decision, but once I had, the implant was done just 5 weeks later in August 2020.
